random start*: converge - “dark horse”
so, yeah…..this is a little awkward. you’re on a blog for an indie rock band, and, all of a sudden, here’s a ear-splitting hardcore song. well, that’s how i roll. converge has been one of my favorite bands for a long time. honestly, though, most of their albums get kinda…lost somewhere in the middle. except for jane doe. that album is perfect.
their latest album, axe to fall, is also damn near perfect. i love almost every song, and it seems they did a little more self-editing, which makes it a much stronger album than many of the others in the catalogue. ”dark horse” happens to be one of my favorite converge songs of all time, so i got lucky with the shuffle here. it’s also a damn good album opener.
anyway, hope this woke you up.
